All the experience in the world wont save you, If you’re not being careful!
He was holding the rod EXACTLY (sort of) as he should be when parachute jigging… One hand on rod butt, one hand on foregrip, rod tip down and pointed at water. Push on one hand while pulling on the other(part he didn’t do, used his upper body. WAY too tiring), creating a big jigging action, thus a violent pulsing of parachute jig…”
It seemed as though he had everything under control. Seconds later he shouts out:
And He’s Back!
A monstrous striped bass bites down on his line, and with a shout from the deck hand the fight begins! Unfortunately it only lasted about three seconds. The jigging worked, but I don’t think our fisherman was expecting it to happen so fast. As he was gearing up to change handle on the rod, the bass ripped the rod out of the mans hands and sends it flying! The skipper was, quite displeased, to say the very least.
One of the men on board exclaims he’s never seen something like that in his life. The angler hangs his head over the boat in utter shame. It seems he needs a little more practice with his grip before playing with the big fish.
Keep those rods to yourself guys, the fish don’t need them!
