While it may not be the most practical way to go ice fishing, it sure is one of the coolest ways we’ve seen!
So this is just something completely out of left field, well, less of a field and more of a frozen lake as it so happens. What these guys did was take ice fishing to a whole new level, one that appears to defy the laws of physics entirely!
A few friends (and obvious fishing lovers) from Vaala, Finland, wanted to flip the world on its head, and literally did just that. The video shows the “anglers”, beneath the ice covered waters of Lake Saarijärvi fishing through a hole in the ice, completely upside down and submerged.
(Not to mention absolutely freezing)
Somehow, beyond my knowledge of how they did it, these guys were walking, moving a wheelbarrow and “fishing”, all with gravity working against them. Even more impressive, they did this while still managing to make it look natural. You can see them drill through the ice to cast their line.
The only problem?
These guys aren’t likely to be catching any fish, as their line is floating to the top, and unless fish started living on land or flying, that won’t be changing any time soon. Maybe next time they can figure out how to bring something home to eat as well!
