Truls Fauske posted this video to Youtube of a fishing trip he made off the coast of Cairns, Australia where something goes very wrong for the Black Marlin he was attempting to catch. Out on a 65ft long boat, Fauske, along with other anglers and the ships crew, came across a fairly sizable Black Marlin and got it hooked on a line.
Estimated by the Skipper to be about 450 lbs, the fish had a hell of a lot of fight in it and gave Fauske quite the battle for roughly 22 minutes. It was then that the marlin made a dire mistake. The fish panicked at that point and in a last ditch effort dove into the ocean hoping to break free. Unfortunately for it dove too far into the depths, where sharks just so happen to reside.
Soon after a chase began between the shark and the marlin. Stuck between two predators the marlin chose the lesser of two evils and sprung towards the surface, hoping to reach safety. The marlin however was no match for the shark, and once they reached the oceans surface the shark tore into the marlin, making a display of it for the ship to see, as if it were telling Fauske, this is my meal, not yours!
